KKJZ /Senior Account Representative

KKJZ 88.1 FM is seeking an experienced leader to serve as a Senior Account Representative.

The duties of the Senior Account Representative include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for establishing comprehensive sales plan with strategic, goal-oriented directives , and strong client relations. Responsible for developing a wide network of contacts through community networking events. Responsible for understanding and using radio research to find beneficial clients for the KKJZ audience. Responsible for using computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Outlook and any other Broadcast computer products. Responsible working extra hours as required for organizational, sales, and presentation management. Responsible for underwriting budget analysis, recommendation, and implementation including developing a yearly budget. Supervises and develops underwriting skills for prospective revenue and lead resources for staff development. Prepares letters of intent and initial contact correspondence. Keeps records for the underwriting department including filing of all weekly reports, underwriting contracts, client presentations, and follow ups as required. Reviews and assists with all underwriting contracts, scheduling, and scripts. Responsible for producing, overseeing and maintaining a consistent client base. Reviews and assists with production spots.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or closely related field or 3 years of hands on experience directly related to sales. Must provide own transportation and proof of insurance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BA degree in media, communications or related field. Prior leadership experience at a community radio station, or other non-commercial media. Excellent computer skills. Excellent written and verbal skills.
