Ana Popovic
Born in Serbia, Popovic was introduced to blues by her father at a very early age through listening sessions at home. She founded her first band at nineteen and was playing numerous concerts throughout Yugoslavia. In 1999, she moved to the Netherlands to study jazz guitar and further entrench herself in the blues world and eventually ventured to Germany. She has released five blues records since 1998 and has been nominated for assorted WC Handy and Jammie Awards.
