Roy Young
Roy Young's life journey has led from Jamaica to London to Tel Aviv to Melbourne and now to Memphis, where he recorded his latest album. 'Memphis,' to be released in the U.S. in July 2008, showcases Young's deeply felt vocals, backed by lush, horn-laden arrangements. His Stateside performance debut at this year's New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival was a revelation that led directly to his appearance at the Long Beach Blues Festival.
