The 24th Annual Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, May 25th & 26th, 2013 and KJazz is the official radio sponsor.
2013 promises to continue the tradition of bringing fans a full weekend of nonstop award-winning entertainment, more food choices than you can sample in two days, and activities to keep kids of all ages entertained too.
There will be two stages, each with its own dance floor, with 19 bands playing 8 hours of continuous music for the two days. Plus, Cajun & Zydeco dance lessons between performances. 2013 Grammy winner Steve Riley will be performing on the Cajun & Zydeco stage, as will headliners Lisa Hayley, Andre Thierry and J. Paul Jr. Multiple "Blues Performer of the Year" Janiva Magness will be performing on the Blues stage, as well as Blues legends Elvin Bishop, Curtis Salgado and Anson Funderburg.
Plus, over three dozen food booths from Cajun & Creole to barbeque and shaved ice and over 100 crafts and merchandise booths.
There will be a huge kids area with two days of entertainment on the Discovery Stage, along with a Harmonica workshop both days on the Discovery Stage where everybody will learn to play a Blues song.
Bring your chairs, bring your dancing shoes, and prepare for a spectacular time.
Adults, 13 and above, are $20/day; kids 5 thru 12 are $15.
