Our pledge drive overlaps with graduation this year so that has added a wrinkle to the parking for those days. I’ll outline the parking situation for each day of the drive.

Thursday, May 29th and Friday, May 30th:

These are graduation days and you can park anywhere on campus without a parking pass but if you arrive any time after 9 or so all the parking will be pretty full. If you’re coming in for the 7am shift you’re best off parking in Lots 5, 6, or 7. These are the closest lots to the station.

For any shift after the 7am one park in lot 14th. We’re are trying to get a section roped off especially for KJAZZ. We will have a golf cart available to shuttle you to the station. We’ll give you a call the day before your shift to explain all the details of where and when to meet the golf cart. (We’re still working them out with university).

Both weekends, Saturday, May 31st; Sunday, June 1st; Saturday, June 7th; Sunday, June 8th:

You do not need a parking pass to park on campus on the weekends, but you will need to park in lots 4 and 7 They DO give tickets if you’re parked in another lot so PLEASE be sure to park in only lots 4 or 7.

The week of Monday, June 2nd through Friday, June 6th:

You will need a parking pass for these days and if one is not included in this letter please call me right away and I’ll send one to you. This pass is good for the whole week so please hold on to it. We have a very limited number of extra passes. You will need to park in either Lot 5 (near the station) or Lot 18 (about a ten minute walk from the station). Luckily classes will not be in session so it should be easy for you to find a parking place in Lot 5 without much trouble. Make sure to display your parking pass on the dashboard of your car while it is parked on the campus. They WILL be ticketing. If the gate to the parking lot is closed the code is Pound-5368. It is also written on the back of your parking pass.
